ABOUT ADAM LIPPES: The 34 year-old designer, a 2007 inductee to the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) and former Creative Director at Oscar de la Renta, launched his eponymous line with a collection of luxurious cotton basics in 2003 (the collection which impressed Oprah Winfrey enough to name him “one of her favorites.”) In no time, the uber-talented designer’s business grew to a full sportswear collection, with lines for both men and women. Lippes has earned much acclaim for his clean, chic designs, including being named “one of the most important young designers of today” by Vanity Fair magazine.
